Following on from last weeks item I have been asked about how I tackled removing all of the loose stuff usually found the voids on burrs and it was at that point I realised that things were not in the correct order so the answer is "I used a Foredom"....
The Foredom is basically a Dremel on steroids, a robust rotary tool with a flexi-shaft which has a jacobs type chuck on the end of it and into this you can fit a variety of cutters and other devices. I am told that you can get a reciprocating head for it which converts it into a carving tool...but since I already have a Bosch carver I think I will stick to using it as a rotary tool ans see what mischief I can get up to with that, at least for the time being!
Anyway the photos are below.
