So with the arrival of Dusty and being a careful sort of a chap it occurred that it might be a good idea to try to save a bit of wear and tear on bags, filters and the like....

A cyclone seemed like the best idea, putting the majority of the dust etc down into a bucket and reducing the need to replace bags/filters and allowing me to hopefully see the fruits of my labour filling up the bucket!

After looking around at some the commercial systems and being somewhat surprised at the cost of what is essentially a bit of moulded plastic I opted for an unbranded option from the Internet and a fermentation bucket from good old Wilko which has reduced the cost from about £100 down to a more bearable £20!

All that remains now is to attach the cyclone to the bucket lid and give it a test!

The completed system will be in a later article but for now here are the photos so far....
